Homemade Garlic butter

I made Kung Pao Corn a couple of days ago and wanted to serve it with garlic bread so I made some garlic butter to spread on part baked bread just before baking it.  This is a great cheat recipe where the results are always good.

Ingredients to make garlic butter:

  • 100 grams of salted butter at room temperature
  • pepper to taste
  • 3 cloves of garlic crushed using a garlic press
  • 1 tsp of dried parsley

Method:

1. Using a fork, mix the butter, garlic, pepper and parsley until really smooth and soft.

2. Cut the part baked rolls in half and spread the butter on both sides of the rolls and make as directed on the package. The left over butter can be kept in the fridge to use when needed.

Part Baked rolls are usually sealed and  have a long “use by” date. They are really handy to have as they don’t take too long to bake and taste just like freshly baked bread.

    what a coincidence, made some today for dinner…garlic bread and soup. Like your idea of adding pepper. I usually add green chilli paste or chilli flakes.
