Organic Matcha Green Tea by KissMe Organics Review

I was sent this green tea to try out and review. Whilst in Japan, I was always advised to get loose green tea rather than tea bags and have always loved Japanese green tea. The Matcha Green tea was a lot different from the loose green tea I am used to drinking. The fragrance of Matcha was a lot similar to the usual green tea but this one is organic and looks like finely milled powdered green tea that is used in Japanese Tea Ceremony

This Green tea can be used in lattes, smoothies and baking. The tea is sold through Amazon and when you purchase this Kiss Me Organics product you get to receive a free Matcha recipe guide book that has more than 50 Matcha recipes!  I haven’t tried the recipes as yet as I enjoy drinking the Green tea as a healthy drink.

The powdered tea is strong and you only need to add half a tea spoon to a mug of hot water and it gives you a lovely and healthy mug of freshly made green tea. I have been drinking the tea for the last 15 days – mid afternoon- and found that it has given me a lot more stamina and energy.IMG_5100

The Matcha tea contains 137x the antioxidants of regular green tea. A bowl of Matcha offers 5x more antioxidants as any other food – the highest rated by the Oxygen Radical Absorbance Capacity (ORAC) method. As we all know, antioxidants are powerful enzymes and nutrients that help prevent dangerous maladies like cancer and other degenerative diseases. Antioxidants give us a softer and younger looking skin and fight the noxious effects of UV radiation.

Improves concentration and memory. Matcha powder contains the organic antioxidants called catechins which are very beneficial. 60% of them is the powerful Epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG ) antioxidant that produces new brain cells, as it concentrates on the brain area that’s responsible for long and short term memory, and it’s also highly appraised for its anti-cancer properties. Today it’s proven that Maccha contains 100 times more EGCG than any other tea there is. Furthermore, the green tea has the amino acid L-Theanine that stimulates the generating of serotonin and dopamine neurotransmitters that promote good mood, concentration and better memory.

Matcha tea boosts stamina and energy. In the past, even the brave Samurai warriors used to drink the brew before engaging in battle because it energized them like nothing else could. Unlike other green tea sorts that usually contain caffeine, Maccha delivers power due to the combination of other nutrients. A cup of this herbal tea can give you increased endurance for up to 6 hours after drinking it. The other good news is that because of the L-Theanine content, drinkers don’t experience stimulant side effects, but only pure and clean energy!

The healthy herb serves as a natural detoxification means.  About 3 weeks before the plant’s leaves are harvested, Camellia sinensis are covered to deprive them of sunlight. This leads to a huge chlorophyll production in the new plants’ growth. Being a strong detoxifier, Matcha is capable of eliminating toxins and heavy metals from your body, thus cleansing it.

Matcha promotes placidity and a peaceful mind. Japanese Zen monks and Chinese Daoists use this green tea to help them relax and meditate (but still remain alert). This green tea quality is once again due to the L-Theanine presence in the leaves. The amino acid enhances the generating of alpha waves in the brain, thus stimulating relaxation without the side effect of sleepiness.

Scientists aren’t exactly aware of the concrete reasons, but a lot of studies point that often Matcha tea drinking tends to lower the bad (LDL) cholesterol and enhance the good (HDL) cholesterol. Statistics show that those who drink this wondrous tea have 11% less chance of developing a heart disease.

Drinking Matcha green tea can help you fasten the metabolism and burn calories 4 times faster than usual, while causing no side effects like high blood pressure and increased heart-beat.

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
