Whenever, I eat out and order a pasta dish. I like to order pasta Arrabiatta as I know that the sauce will be spicy. Also this spicy tomato pasta dish is made using very few ingredients.Where does arrabiata sauce come from?This sauce that originates from Rome, Italy. In Italian, arrabbiata translates to mean “angry” sauce, thanks to all of those spicy chili peppers.The main ingredients to this sauce are garlic, tomatoes, and red pepper flakes for spice.I served this with Angel Hair Pasta.What is Angel Hair pasta?Angel Hair pasta, is a very thin pasta also known as capellini, or “fine hair,” It cooks within minutes ans is the perfect choice when you want to pair with a tasty sauce.

Ingredients
2 medium hot chillies -finely sliced
2 garlic cloves-chopped
handful basil leaves
600g canned chopped tomato
1 tsp chili flakes
salt to taste
1 tsp sugar
400g angel hair pasta
any cheese for garnishing
Instructions
Heat the olive oil in a frying pan. Add the chilli and garlic to the pan. After about a minute, add the basil leaves and gently wilt them in the flavoured oil. Add the chopped tomatoes to mixture.
Add the sugar , chili flakes and let this simmer – stirring every 5 minutes, until the sauce has thickened a little. Add salt to taste.
Meanwhile, cook the angel hair pasta as per the instructions on the packet, in large saucepan of boiling water . Add a teaspoon of salt and a dash of olive oil to the water. Once the pasta is cooked, drain it.
Serve the pasta topped with the hot arrabiatta sauce to it. Garnish with cheese if you wish.
