Waitrose Vegetarian Kofta Curry review

Most people in UK love curry and often have a curry night at the weekend when they either have a Takeaway or buy some ready made Indian food to warm up at home.  The ready food choice for vegetarians and vegan is very limited so when I spotted this vegetable Kofta curry in Waitrose, I had to buy it to see what it tasted like.   It’s described as Mixed vegetable kofta balls in a tandoori spiced cream and tomato sauce.

I heated it in a saucepan rather than the microwave as I wanted to make sure that it was really lovely and hot before serving it for dinner.  As I was heating it – I did wish that there was a little more sauce with the curry.

We ate the koftas with parathas and rice.  The sauce was creamy and delicious  with just the right amount of spices and the koftas held their shape but were lovely and soft when eaten.

Kofta curry does take a lot of time to prepare so my preference is to either make it quickly  with my cheat recipe or have the takeaway from Waitrose. This curry is expensive but worth it when it’s for a date night for the two of us.
