Year 2025 Roundup

In case you’re wondering, I’m still around — my focus has simply shifted from blogging to teaching. Sharing knowledge and guiding others has become my priority, and I’m really enjoying this new chapter where I am sharing my culinary heritage and teaching recipes I learnt form my parents and in laws.  My aim is to go back to blogging and sharing recipes, reviews and news again and for that I hope that you –  followers of Givemesomespice, will inspire me.

Year 2025 marked two very special milestones in my life. It has been 50 years since I came to the UK — a place where I built my home, raised my family, and created a life filled with memories, friendships, and countless blessings.

It is also the year of our 50th wedding anniversary. Though my beloved husband is no longer with us, the beautiful journey we shared together continues to live in my heart. Our two wonderful sons, the values we built together, and the love that still surrounds me are gifts I cherish every single day.  Now I enjoy seeing my sons going forward in their journey with their partners.

Over these five decades, one thing that has always brought me joy is cooking and teaching. From the early days of learning family recipes to starting my cookery blog and later my cookery classes, food has been my way of connecting with people, sharing culture, and keeping traditions alive.

As I reflect on these milestones, I feel grateful for everyone who has supported my culinary journey — whether you’ve attended my classes, tried my recipes, or followed my blog.

Thank you to everyone who supported, encouraged, attended a class, sent kind messages, or simply checked in.  Teaching, volunteering, spending time with family, and keeping busy in simple ways has made this year meaningful in its own quiet way.  Here’s to many more years of cooking, sharing, and celebrating life’s flavours together.

Here’s to learning, sharing, and continuing the journey in 2026. 💛

Thank you for being part of my story. ❤️
