Vegan & Veggie Pizza using Jus Rol Sour Dough Pizza Base

Jump to Recipe

Have you tried the new Jus-Rol Sourdough Pizza base?  I hadn’t until my son bought it to for me to try.  It’s suitable for vegetarians and vegans.  What I liked about it that it’s ready to shape and put any readily available toppings on it. The sour dough adds an extra taste to the pizza. This dough is a lot different to the ready made pizza dough sold by the Northern Dough company that I reviewed a couple of years ago.

Ingredients:

  • 1 pack of Jus Rol Sour Dough Pizza Base dough
  • 1 cup passata
  • some piquante pepper (can use any sweet peppers)
  • some pepper slices
  • some onion slices
  • some chillies
  • handful of sweetcorn
  • handful of diced pineapple
  • 1 cup of vegan cheese (or any cheese of your choice)
  • 1 tsp oregano

Method:

  1. Follow the instructions on the dough packet and roll out the base.  Don’t be surprised if it looks too thin.

2.  Preheat the oven to 180° C (350 °F) .  Layer it with toppings of your choice and put it in the oven to bake .

3.For baking I did not bake it for as long as it said on the packet.  It only took my fan oven about 7 minutes to cook the pizza.

4. We enjoyed the pizza which had a crispy base and our toppings were just the way we like them – Hot and spicy.
